At an event Monday evening, hosted by the ABVMA, CVMA and UCVM students received their stethoscopes and white coats as they embark on their four-year adventure towards becoming veterinarians! The CVMA Advertising Imagery Guidelines were developed to promote the use of images of only healthy and well-treated animals in ads and prevent the general acceptance and/or use of animals with harmful conformations in advertising. The CVMA welcomes the global attention brought to this issue by the recently released ICECDogs international guidelines for marketers regarding the use of imagery of dogs with extreme conformations.
