When it comes to staying ahead in the industry, Canfor Pulp’s Technical Lab team is leading the charge. In November last year, they achieved the ISO accreditation – two years ahead of the industry’s extended August 2026 deadline under the new Environmental Data Quality Assurance Regulation.   Achieving ISO accreditation doesn’t just mean compliance – it sets Canfor Pulp apart from the competition. It’s a testament to the team’s hard work, innovation and commitment to excellence.   Congratulations to everyone involved in this achievement. You’ve proven that we don’t just meet the standards – we set them!    #canfor #betterbynature

While in Tokyo, Ross Lennox, Vice President Woodlands, and Jason Nomura, President of Canfor Asia, represented Canfor at the 50th anniversary of the BC Council of Forest Industries (COFI) in Japan. Ross’s leadership in BC as a member of COFI’s Management Committee was highlighted to the audience of influential buyers, architects, building developers and other stakeholders. Canfor is proud to have been present and looks forward to COFI's continued success in Japan!

On November 12, we proudly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the BC Council of Forest Industries (COFI) Japan office. Since its establishment in 1974, the COFI Japan office has been instrumental in expanding the presence of Canadian forest products in Japan. Over the years, our team has worked closely with local partners to introduce 2x4 wood construction to Japanese markets and to pioneer innovative, low-carbon construction solutions. As we honor this milestone and the valued relationships built along the way, we look forward to another 50 years of collaboration and shared success.

Today, on November 11, we come together to observe Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the United States. Last week on November 8, we also marked Indigenous Veteran’s Day. On these days, we honour the heroes who have made sacrifices to uphold our freedoms and values. This is a time to remember their dedication and courage, while also recognizing the exceptional bravery and resilience of our Canadian, Indigenous, and American veterans. #RemembranceDay #VeteransDay

It’s been a great few days participating alongside other forest community leaders at the Alberta Forest Products Association’s (AFPA) 82nd Annual General Meeting in beautiful Banff, Alberta. AFPA is the non-profit association that has represented the sustainable forest industry in Alberta since 1942, and Canfor is proud to take an active role. We’ve had incredibly important discussions about wildfire risk management and forestry solutions, managing healthy forests, EDI and the Forestry Together Alliance, economic reconciliation, sector prosperity and growth, and our industry’s contributions to sustainable, vibrant communities. It was great to hear from the Honourable Minister of Forestry and Parks, Todd Loewen, in a post-dinner keynote address last night, where he emphasized the role the Alberta forest sector plays in the well-being of our communities, economy, resources, and the overall forest landscape. Thank you AFPA for bringing us together and creating opportunities to learn, share perspectives and celebrate successes! Government of Alberta #AlbertaForestry #LoveABForests

We’re so proud of our Grande Prairie sawmill team, who were honoured and recognized yesterday by the Alberta Forest Products Association with an award for Outstanding Achievement in Health and Safety, recognizing their long-term dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards. Achieving top-tier safety is a team effort, and we applaud our people at Grande Prairie who work hard every day to ensure that their facility and woodlands operations are safe and productive places to build a career. Travis Peterson, Plant Manager; Jon Taszlikowicz, Woodlands Manager; and Tom Thompson, General Manager, Alberta Region, accepted the award on behalf of our stellar team at Grande Prairie.
