Based out of our U.S. headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, Victoria is integral to our ability to successfully deliver clean, reliable, and affordable power that our communities can depend on. Her commitment to continuous improvement has contributed to our 2023 fleetwide availability of 95%, as we continued to optimize our existing natural gas power plants through operational improvements and proactive, strategic maintenance. Before this role, Victoria was a Senior Project Manager at Capital Power, gaining critical knowledge on turnaround planning and execution, with a focus on communication, collaboration, and safety. This insight continues to positively impact our natural gas fleet, building on our reputation across North America as a trusted, reliable power producer. Delivering reliable, affordable and clean electricity is core to our strategy and anchored in our ambition to be a leader in the energy expansion. Our fleet of renewable assets supports our ability to deliver balanced energy solutions our customers need as we work to power a clean energy future. Ensuring these assets are reliably available when the wind is blowing and the sun is shining are people like Derrick Perkins, Site Manager of our Macho Springs Wind facility in New Mexico! “Powering Change by Changing Power speaks directly to our commitment to responsibly meet the growing global demand for energy. We have a balanced approach to energy solutions and renewables play an important role in that balance.” Derrick Perkins

Driving the energy transition today for a net zero tomorrow.

"Celebrating Collaboration at Stampede."    This year’s Calgary Stampede was another remarkable event, bringing together industry, community, government, Indigenous leaders, friends, and partners from Canada, the U.S., and beyond.    If you haven’t experienced this signature #Alberta celebration yet – it’s an action-packed, fun, and unique opportunity to connect and engage in conversations that deepen relationships and turn shared ideas into actionable strategies and successful collaborations.    To kick off this 10-day event, Capital Power sponsored a dinner with Crestview Strategy, which brought together groups of incredible people, including Cabinet Ministers, Indigenous leaders, community, business leaders, key stakeholders, and colleagues – all contributors to shaping our clean energy future.    These in-person discussions on energy expansion, clean electricity policy, technology pathways (including SMR potential), and the data centre opportunity are how we deepen our understanding of the shared path forward to shape a reliable, affordable and clean energy future.    We were also honoured to host a visit from Stampede Royalty, Margaret Holloway, the First Nations Princess, at our employee Stampede party. We were engaged in the stories she shared about her culture, her grandmother and respected Elders and Tipi Holders, Eddie and Elsie Holloway of Tipi 24, and the story of the jingle dance – thank you to Margaret for taking the time to share this knowledge with us.    From start to finish, the Stampede was full of conversations, connections, and world-class entertainment – Capital Power is proud to be a part of this legacy, and we look forward to many more years of celebrating the "Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth."    #CalgaryStampede #CapitalPower #Community #Collaboration #Energy #Innovation

We are honored to be the beneficiaries of Capital Power's Community Sustainability Fund! With a generous grant of $20,000, we can continue to support our community-based farms and farmers' market. Our farms are vital for our dining rooms and central kitchen, which feed thousands of food-insecure, low-income families, and our unhoused population every day. Additionally, our urban farms offer enriching volunteer opportunities, fostering a sense of community and involvement. Thank you, Capital Power, for your commitment to creating a brighter world powered by responsible energy.
