Shelley Powell, Suncor’s Senior Vice President - Operational Improvement & Support Services, participated on an all-female panel this afternoon at Energy Disruptors UNITE conference where she spoke to her operational experience, progress on diversity and inclusion, and the importance it plays within business. “Things have changed considerably. But, I would also acknowledge how far yet we still have to go. We are not where we need to be and we still have a lot of work in front of us,” Shelley shared. On leveraging diversity and inclusion, Shelley noted, “We get better performance within our teams. We get better business outcomes. We solve big, complex, challenging problems better when we have diversity and inclusion around the table.”
