It is with deep sadness that we recognize the passing of our friend and colleague Graham Gifford, on August 8th. Graham was well known in the lighting industry across North America through his many years with Sistemalux and iGuzzini He will always be remembered for the impactful influence he had on many of our lives and careers. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made FOCUS ON/ Entertainment a success on July 25, 2024, at the Annex in Vancouver. This event connected lighting professionals from entertainment, attractions, retail, and hospitality industries, showcasing cutting-edge lighting and control solutions. Special thanks to keynote speakers Victor Quezada of AES Engineering Ltd and Douglas Welch of Eos Lightmedia for their insightful presentations on technology adoption and design strategies. Simon W. from Electronic Theatre Controls also captivated the audience with his AIBC Accredited keynote on TM-30, the leading IES method for evaluating light source color rendition. Attendees enjoyed facility tours of the Annex, witnessing advanced theatre lighting control systems in action. Our global manufacturing partners, including ERCO, Electronic Theatre Controls, lumenpulse, SGM Light and Meteor Lighting, showcased the latest innovations, providing real-time demonstrations.
