CleanInnoGen (CIG) is working with Kingston Process Metallurgy (KPM) to commercialize a hydrogen production technology that removes hydrogen from the hydrogen sulfide in sour gas and, in the process, helps to reduce sulfur emissions to the atmosphere. Sour gas makes up about 1/3 of all natural gas wells in Canada and hydrogen sulfide is found in high concentrations in natural gas in the middle east. The hydrogen produced by this process can be blended with natural gas for decarbonization or sold as off-take agreements for multiple applications. Many gas wells that are shut in because of sour gas can be re-opened for hydrogen and sweet gas production.

CleanInnoGen (CIG), in association with Kingston Process Metallurgy (KPM), is actively seeking strategic partners and investors to commercialize a process for the production of hydrogen from sour gas. This early stage technology is readily scalable and has applications at existing gas processing plants with concentrations of sour gas. The process splits the hydrogen from hydrogen sulfide and leaves the sulfur in a form for either sulfur dioxide production (to sulfuric acid) or elemental sulfur by the Claus process. There are significant opportunities for this process in western Canada, the Middle East and other global regions. Please contact us for more details.

Thanks, Victoria Xu, for sharing the journey! We look forward to the new chapter and will continue to work with you in a new way for years to come!
When I was stuck at home like everybody else at the beginning of the pandemic, I could never have imagined what I could have done in the past 3+ years. As COVID changed many people's life trajectories, I started my entrepreneurial journey enabled by the widely adopted virtual working mode while doing angel investing. Enabled by that, I started my deep tech founder journey as an investor and advisor. I quickly became more operational for CleanInnoGen Energy Solutions, a deep tech startup dedicated to commercializing capital-intensive hydrogen production technology that could otherwise have been stuck in "Death Valley" for a longer time. I am so grateful for the journey, which has been supported by the energy industry with overwhelming support. The industry is very accommodating to people with diverse backgrounds, including myself. After all, we are all in this together. Moving forward, I am still an investor and director, but I am grateful to have a capable team led by industry experts Terry Kimmel and Sharon Blair to continue our mission of low-cost green hydrogen production technology to enable large-scale decarbonization to save 🌎 Through the journey, I have had the privilege of witnessing Canada's leadership on the world stage in the hydrogen economy, and I am so grateful to have played a part in that. Please stay tuned. I am confident that more advancements will be made in the near future to maintain our Canadian pride in hydrogen tech leadership! The only regret is ... I should have taken more photos! 📸 I was too present at the scene rather than taking photos. When I can still visualize them in my memory, should I use AI to recreate them? 🤔

I congratulate our national industry association for its name change to the Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA). As the previous President of the CHA, prior to its merger with Fuel Cells Canada way back in 2009, I am delighted that the focus is now clearly on the role that hydrogen does and can play in our energy transition. We are beginning to see the rewards from all the work our Canadian hydrogen pioneers did to advance hydrogen production and use technologies.

Hydrogen is a Swiss knife for decarbonization with its application and value way beyond fuel cells. As the first president of the Canadian Hydrogen Association when it was established in the early 2000s, our Co-founder Terry Kimmel has long been a pioneer in prompting the hydrogen industry. We are glad to see the rebrand and refreshed recognition of hydrogen in its critical role in addressing climate change!
The CHA held it's official rebrand launch event yesterday on the first day of the Canadian Hydrogen Convention. Thank you to to those who made this possible and to everyone who came out to support. We are looking forward to this new chapter of the association and helping in the continuous growth of the Canadian hydrogen sector. A special thanks to our rebranding taskforce and our communications Committee and it's chair Bob Blattler, our Board of Directors and its Chair and Vice Chair Chris Norris and Beth Buckmaster, and our speakers and sponsors Christine Krol from Imperial Oil, Alex Savelli from Accelera by Cummins, and Edward S. from Hydrogen Optimized. As well, thank you to our happy hour sponsors Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership and Siemens. A huge thank you goes out to Toyota Canada Inc. and Jennifer McGhee for the branded Toyota Mirai. Last but not least, this could not have been possible without the CHA team and their hard work in achieving this milestone, Ivette Vera-Perez, Nicolas Hilario, Turni Saha, PMP, Maike Althaus, Matthew Klippenstein, Pranav Chandrasekar, and Maliha Ayam. We look forward to continuing the celebrations on day two of CHC. Come by #59 to chat with us! #hydrogen #hydrogenenergy #hydrogenindustry #canadianenergy #netzero #decarbonization #cleanenergy #hydrogenfuelcells #canadianenergy #canada #canadianhydrogenconvention

Happy New Year to all CleanInnoGen's colleagues and followers. We are in interesting times and closing our Seed round so we can move to our pilot stage for process validation. There is a lot of interest in our Heat to Hydrogen process for both on site decarbonization of heavy industry (like cement and steel) and direct hydrogen production from heat intense sectors like nuclear (including SMRs and concentrated solar). If you're looking for a deep tech investment that produces hydrogen through a heat, and not electricity, vector then we have the solution. Join us on this journey.
