Last week, the Automotive Recyclers Association hosted its 81st annual Convention and Expo at the Peppermill Resort and Casino in Reno, Las Vegas, where Managing Director of the Automotive Recyclers of Canada Steve Fletcher received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the ARA. "It was my first real experience with the American industry," said Dustin Vetere of Dom's Auto Parts, who will now serve as the Canadian representative on the ARA Board. "It was rewarding to see an American take on the auto recycling convention. In many ways, it was similar to the OARA conventions that we Ontarians know well." With Halloween upon us, the Mint Smartwash in Calgary, Alberta has more than embraced the spooky season through the creation of a haunted car wash. The first year for the event, bright by day, the car wash turns into a haunted-house-style experience from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with employees dressed in costumes and ready to scare customers. To help set the scene, the car wash also has customers enter a pitch-dark tunnel, with mood lights and smoke machines adding to the haunted atmosphere. 👻💥😨🎃 https://loom.ly/i6Ks0zk
