Our Salt Lake City location, established in 1996, serves the mining, infrastructure, energy and transportation industries across Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Colorado, and neighboring states. With comprehensive geotechnical capabilities, SLC was among the first in the US to offer drilling services, becoming a leader in sonic drilling. This expansion enables our team to provide a full suite of integrated site investigation services, including surface geophysics, cone penetration testing, drilling & sampling, and instrumentation installation. Whether it’s local infrastructure projects, hydro-electric dams, or large tailings dams, our Salt Lake team is equipped to handle any investigation. On September 30 – the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day – the ConeTec Group will join thousands of people across Canada in wearing orange to honour the children who did not return home, the survivors and the families impacted by the Residential School system. Our group, including ConeTec, Mud Bay Drilling , and Geotech Drilling Group of Companies , has worked informally with many Indigenous peoples over the years and more formally in the last decade. During this time, we have built relationships, implemented cultural awareness training, funded scholarships (https://lnkd.in/gPSPYf7T), formed partnerships with and hired Indigenous-owned companies. We are proud to have established partnerships with Mikisew Cree First Nation (Mikisew-ConeTec) and the Kitikmeot Inuit Association/Kitikmeot Corporation (Geotech Ekutak); and to have many other active agreements with indigenous communities across western Canada.   ConeTec commits to continuing to learn more about Canada’s indigenous people, their culture, and traditions.
