In 2022, Co-op Community Spaces donated $40,000 to the Waskasoo Community Association in Red Deer, AB. The funds were used for upgrades and additions at the Waskasoo Natural Playground including a unique elk-shaped play structure. "It has brought the community together, both by attracting people into the comfortable and beautiful area, but also through the 1,200 hours of volunteer time our neighbours put into building this project." - Brenda Garret, President of the Waskasoo Community Association.

Building Sustainable Communities Together
About us
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) does business differently. At its core, FCL is a co-operative that supports other co-operatives that serve people in Western Canada. We aim to create an experience for our team members where employees feel at home here and find success, community, and purpose. We encourage our team members to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop their careers within FCL and the larger Co-op system. FCL is a wholesaling, manufacturing, marketing and administrative co-operative owned by more than 160 independent retail co-operative associations. These retail co-ops own and operate agro centres, food stores, gas bars/convenience stores and home centres.
