Congratulations to Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party on securing a majority government in yesterday's Saskatchewan election! This was a more contentious and hard-fought race than we've seen in the province in years, and many observers have noted Saskatchewanians are growing dissatisfied with business as usual, delivering the incumbent party a slimmer majority this time around. The province has an opportunity to orient itself toward the innovation economic policies that will deliver better services, commercialize more great ideas, and keep more bright minds in Saskatchewan. Here are some of the measures policymakers should look at to achieve these goals ⤵ . CC Council of Canadian Innovators | Conseil canadien des innovateurs

Council of Canadian Innovators | Conseil canadien des innovateurs had a great introductory meeting with Bonnie Crombie, MBA, ICD.D, Ontario's Liberal Party Leader, to discuss innovation policies and economic prosperity for our province. These are the types of conversations that kickstart broader thinking on how we can drive growth in Ontario. Right now, Ontario’s per-capita productivity is on par with Alabama’s – a position we know and must improve. CCI members and innovators are eager to work with all parties and leaders committed to growing the economy and building on the legacy that many of our domestic tech firms have already started here. To compete globally, we need to be competitive. Thanks, Bonnie, for listening to our ideas – the work starts now! Mike Andrade of Morgan Solar Inc. Very much looking forward to this discussion. A recent report cited that Ontario’s per-capita productivity is on par with Alabama’s - I think if a lot of CEOs and or founders heard that, they'd point to the potential of AI being a swift actor to help generate growth and business opportunities - but this type of technology needs specific strategies to realize the potential. I think we'll get into this more at this panel, and if you're at the conference, come say hi! See you on November 21st!
As we stand on the brink of a new #technology era, our closing panel at #OES2024 will explore ‘AI-Powered Growth: Opportunity for Emerging Technology’. Our panelists will highlight the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in driving Ontario’s economic growth and innovation.
