Today, CCI President Benjamin Bergen commented on the Conservative Party of Canada’s newly announced policy proposal to defer capital gains taxes for individuals or businesses that reinvest the proceeds from the sale of an asset back into Canada. "At CCI, we have long advocated for policies that enhance access to capital for high-potential Canadian firms — whether through improved non-dilutive funding, streamlined tax credits, or investment incentives that keep capital working inside Canada. The proposed Canada First Reinvestment Tax Cut aligns with that broader objective by aiming to encourage domestic reinvestment and support business growth." CCI is proudly non-partisan, but we are not neutral on outcomes.
