Let’s talk about managing self talk: Negativity bias is when our brain focuses more on bad experiences than good ones. It’s natural, but it can get in the way of how we see things and how we perform. In this video, I’m going to show you a quick way to use self-talk to break that cycle and stay focused on what really matters. #helpingourheroes #mentalhealthmatters #manageselftalk #strongertogether #firstresponders #MindfulnessInAction #BreachTheStigma #performance #warriorfocus

About us
We work with our military and first responders in order to help in the battle against Operational Stress Injuries. Our unique and innovative program was created by first responders/military, for first responders and military to bridge the gap between being injured and seeking help. Using recreational therapy and sport to teach and enhance mindfulness and resiliency techniques to those who experience trauma at an exponentially higher rate than the average citizen. In the words of our participants, "recreation is RE-CREATION," and "these clinics should be taken by anyone that is in a front-line, high-stress role."

4 Essential Techniques to Calm Your Mind Before a Shift or Call: 1️⃣ Tactical Breathing Exercises: Practice controlled breathing to reduce stress. Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 4. Repeat to bring calm and focus. 2️⃣ Positive Self-Talk: Shift your mindset with empowering phrases. Remind yourself, “I am prepared,” or “I can handle whatever comes my way.” 3️⃣ Visualization: Mentally walk through a successful shift. Picture yourself managing tasks confidently, staying calm in stressful moments, and ending your shift strong. 4️⃣ Prep Routine: Establish a consistent pre-shift routine. Whether it’s laying out your gear or enjoying a quiet moment with your coffee, a routine creates stability and prepares you mentally for the day ahead. Building mental resilience starts before the shift even begins. You’ve got the tools—use them! 💙 #HealthcareHeroes #helpingourheroes #mentalhealthmatters #YouMatter #WarriorsResiliency #firstresponders #frontlinefamily #strongertogether #PTSDawareness #MindfulnessInAction #breachthestigma #warriormind #ShiftPrep

Suicide prevention should be everyone’s priority because everyone matters. Our Warriors Resiliency Program is dedicated to military and first responders—heroes who face mental health battles daily, with suicide rates four times higher than the general public. We also use golf as a powerful tool in our program, so when i heard that October 1 was also the birthday of professional golfer Grayson Murray, who tragically lost his battle to suicide, it was a sobering reminder of how big our mission truly is. Mental health matters—let’s break the stigma and save lives. #YouMatter #SuicidePrevention #BreachTheStigma #WarriorsResiliency #GolfForGood #MentalHealthMatters

Raising Awareness Matters Today’s experience at the President’s Cup was a powerful reminder of how important it is to raise awareness. The fact that so many volunteers were relieved by how smoothly things went this morning shows that it’s not just about one person or one service dog—it’s about creating an environment of kindness, understanding, and doing what’s right for everyone. Great work as always Sue Harvey #breachthestigma
🎥 What a Difference a Day Makes! 🎥 I’m happy to share that today at the President’s Cup was a complete 180 compared to yesterday. From the moment I got to the gate, the support staff were incredibly relieved that there were no issues this time around, and they even expressed their support after what happened yesterday. Best part? I get to go fully enjoy the day, stress-free…well for the most part with how tight the competition has been! The highlight of my morning was running into the amazing police officer who helped me through the situation yesterday. I was honored to give her a challenge coin as a token of my gratitude for her kindness and understanding. 💙 Now it’s time to soak in the final day of the competition. Who’s taking home the win – Team USA or the International Team? 🎥 The Importance of Awareness 🎥 Today, I almost missed out on the President’s Cup. Why? A security supervisor was unaware of the laws surrounding service dogs. Thankfully, a kind police officer stepped in and set things right. But this experience made me think – how many others face similar barriers due to a lack of awareness? It’s time for organizers and associations like the PGA to take a closer look at how they handle accessibility and inclusivity. We can do better. We must do better. Let’s open up the conversation – how can we improve accessibility at major events? Drop your thoughts below and let’s push for change together. 👇💬 #AccessibilityMatters #ServiceDogs #PresidentsCup #DrivingForeward #InclusionForAll #disabledveteran #ptsdawareness #veteranservicedog #MentalHealthAwareness PGA TOUR Presidents Cup Global Disability Inclusion, LLC Driving Foreward

For our Sue Harvey golf saved her life. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and their players would never know, but they helped in saving the life of a veteran and then active duty police officer, and in turn helped to inspire a life changing program for so many others battling mental health on the frontline. Watch and see how this all came full circle in Ohio at the Queen City Championship. #breachthestigma #fullcircle #MoreThanAGame #ptsdawareness #mentalhealthmatters #servicedoglife #suicideprevention #meaningfulchange #warriorresiliency

🖤 We lost another member to suicide. Another life, another heartache. 🖤 What we’re doing isn’t working. We’ve been here before, feeling this same pain, and still, the lessons go unlearned. How many more lives must be lost? How much more heartbreak do we have to endure before real change happens? To the friends, family, and colleagues mourning today, our deepest condolences go out to you. Our hearts are with you. 💔 At Driving Foreward, we stand ready to help in any way we can. But this is not enough. It’s time for meaningful change. Every life lost is a price too high, and we cannot afford to keep paying it. Let’s come together. Let’s do better. Let’s be the change our community so desperately needs. #MentalHealthMatters #SuicidePrevention #WeNeedChange #DrivingForeward #EndTheStigma #SupportEachOther #YouAreNotAlone

🌊 Just like a waterfall, true resilience isn’t about force—it’s about flow. 🌊 Life will always throw obstacles in our path, but it’s our ability to adapt, keep moving, and rise above that defines our strength. Whether on the course or in everyday challenges, the power of resilience lies in how we navigate what stands in our way. Remember: You are the water. Flow with purpose, embrace the journey, and trust that no obstacle can stop you from moving forward. #Resilience #FlowLikeWater #StrengthInAdversity #KeepMovingForward #MindsetMatters #StrongerTogether #MentalFortitude #breachthestigma Sue Harvey
