🌞 Midwest Summer Party Recap! 🌞 Our Ohio team had a blast celebrating summer with a kayaking adventure on the Scioto River! They spent the morning navigating the waterways of downtown Columbus, taking in the stunning cityscape. Some even took the time to explore the riverbanks, appreciating the natural beauty and local sights. "One of the unique highlights of the day was kayaking past an active highway construction site," said Stephen Caudill, Senior Construction Engineer and Regional Manager of the Midwest, "getting a firsthand look at the installation and safety measures was a real treat, especially for those of us who work in the industry!" After the river journey, the team gathered at a favorite local pizzeria for a well-deserved lunch. The day wrapped up perfectly with refreshing brews and team bonding at Land Grant Brewing. 🏗️ Project Spotlight: Time-sensitive infrastructure upgrades Faced with aging heating and cooling systems, Tishman Speyer and the Freshwater Group took this opportunity to seek the best outcomes possible for their project, rather than just change old equipment. They chose Ecosystem’s unique and innovative approach to modernize their energy infrastructures at 21 Clak Street, a 16-story building in Brooklyn Heights being converted into luxury senior living. Dealing with an oversized, inefficient boiler and chiller plant, Ecosystem designed and installed a new system that contributed the most to better outcomes. All of that, during the building's vacancy, aligning with a tight redevelopment schedule. The result? Enhanced energy efficiency, long-term savings, and optimal living conditions for residents. The Paris Olympics is being billed the most #sustainable games yet because the organizers have refurbished old buildings as much as possible rather than building new ones - and the London Olympics demonstrated that #Olympics facilities could be reused and repurposed successfully after the Games, But before both of them was Montreal and its remarkable conversion of the Velodrome into the Biodome, housing plants and animals from five diverse North American ecosystems under one roof. Electrical engineering graduate and Team USA gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik secured a bronze medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympic games, the country’s first Olympic team medal since the 2008 Beijing #Olympics. The 25-year-old is known as a specialist, competing only in the Pommel Horse event.
