Excited to announce this week's featured speaker at NCBFO 2024: Cédric Ropartz from EnerZam inc, presenting on "Optimizing Geothermal Systems: Addressing Challenges & Solutions for Cx Success.” Cédric is a building mechanical engineer who quickly specialized in energy efficiency. As a performance analyst at Johnson Controls, Cédric worked for 4 years in commissioning, re-commissioning, and M&V on large-scale ESE projects. He developed expertise in site management and control systems, particularly in optimization and sequence writing. At G-STAS and with EnerZam, Cédric undertook energy audit assignments, developed energy-saving measures (plans and specifications), performed tuning and optimization of existing installations, including re-commissioning. One of Cédric's major differentiating factors is his contribution and involvement in the installation and development of continuous optimization solutions (fault detection system: DABO) and connected commissioning/re-commissioning solutions, with the development of the Joule M&V solution at EnerZam. Cédric is experienced in implementing CMMS systems (maintenance range development, planning, process implementation), notably with the CMMS platform developed by EnerZam, WebSynco.   Across institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors, Cédric is currently working with his team on the design of electromechanical systems, automated control, and sequences, tuning electromechanical systems, developing HVAC plans and specifications, implementing computerized systems (WebSynco implementation: complete equipment survey, maintenance range development), conducting preliminary energy audits and detailed analysis (ASHRAE Level 2 energy audit), developing, implementing, and monitoring energy management plans, carrying out commissioning, measurement and verification missions (M&V for ESCO projects), and developing and implementing connected commissioning/re-commissioning tools.   Over his 17 years of experience, Cédric has designed, planned, executed, commissioned, and measured every possible building efficiency project. He is now involved in the design of new construction, particularly with his expertise in large-scale geothermal systems (60 wells). Cédric is now a key resource to whom major groups turn to in order to change their approach to projects to include energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction in their construction and operation processes.
