On International #DayOfTheGirl, we celebrate the power and potential of girls worldwide while recognizing the myriad of challenges they continue to face because of gender.   Through sport – both physical and electronic – girls can defy gender norms and expectations. Sports empower girls by helping them to develop confidence, build self-reliance, and grow their social networks.
