At the German Technology Day trade show, German Ambassador Tjorven Bellmann (Embassy of Germany to Canada) explored the many exciting innovations from German automotive and advanced manufacturing companies with offices in Canada. An impressive showcase of German automation and industry 4.0 expertise and forum for cutting-edge manufacturing developments between 🇩🇪 and 🇨🇦!

It was a pleasure to host Katharina Binz, Minister for Family Affairs, Women, Culture and Integration and Deputy Premier of Rhineland-Palatinate and her delegation in Toronto! Fruitful meetings with MPP Logan Kanapathi, Parliamentary Assistant of the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, Humber College, and COSTI Immigrant Services explored the benefits and challenges of immigration in Ontario. Thanks to leaders of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress for sharing their unique experiences in welcoming and supporting 🇺🇦refugees in Toronto. Great to learn from each other’s experiences!

A productive day in Toronto for Benjamin Brake, Director-General, Digital and Data-Policy at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport! Excellent insights from touring Toronto’s world-class start-up incubator, MaRS Discovery District, the Vector Institute, one of the largest AI institutes in 🇨🇦, as well as CIFAR and Xanadu Quantum Computing. A roundtable meeting with experts from Canada and Germany on digitalizing businesses underlined common opportunities & challenges and areas for joint cooperation. 🇨🇦🤝🇩🇪

Great insights into the Ontario legal system for the Federal Ministry of Justice delegation headed by State Secretary Dr. Angelika Schlunck! Thanks to Deputy Attorney General David Corbett and his team for sharing experiences on the practical aspects and the challenges of digitalising the justice system in Ontario and to the Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce Inc. for an insightful discussion on digitalizing businesses & corporate law. The delegation was also very impressed by the new and modern Ontario Court of Justice Toronto during their visit. Great to compare notes with the Institute for Canadian Citizenship to better understand and learn about Canadian immigration and integration strategies.
