Barada Sahu at an ETRetail event spoke about how eCommerce 3.0 & Bazaar stack is the next generation stack for commerce. 🔥 Some key highlights 👉 ▶ Evolution of Commerce Stacks Commerce is evolving from the first generation stack (e.g., Amazon, Walmart) to the second generation stack, consisting of platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce. The next evolution is referred to as the "born in India stack" or the "bazaar stack," emphasizing an integrated infrastructure from listings to payments to fulfillment. ▶ Commerce 3.0 - Customer First Approach Commerce 3.0 is all about focusing on a customer-first approach. Setting up online stores is only part of coming online, true business growth is about understanding and connecting with consumers. ▶ Consumer-Centric Stack The key emphasis is on building a consumer stack, and the next generation stack is envisioned as a "customer-first bazaar" or a "bazaar economy" centered around the consumer. The goal is to connect products with consumers by understanding their behavior across various channels. ▶ Attention Across Channels Consumers today interact across multiple channels, including social media, TV ads, email, and physical stores. The importance lies in offering a consumer-first stack that seamlessly connects these channels, recognizing the unified experience of the consumer. ▶ Bazaar Economy The concept of the bazaar, seen as a uniquely Indian idea, is highlighted. The bazaar economy is described as a place where consumers and brands meet, emphasizing the vibrancy, interaction, and interconnectedness found in traditional bazaars. ▶ Challenges with Siloed Walls Traditional marketplaces are criticized for creating siloed walls and closed versions of the internet. The emerging infrastructure, including payment systems like UPI and interconnection initiatives like ONDC, aims to break down these walls and connect brands and consumers without gated barriers. ▶ Open Trade and Retail Economy Barada sees the bazaar economy as the true promise of an open trade and retail economy, contrasting it with the closed versions created by some marketplaces. What are you thoughts? Let us know in the comments. #CommerceEvolution #CustomerFirst #BazaarEconomy #eCommerce #retail

"Your idea is worthless. Your commitment is everything." Kausambi talks about what really drives startup success: Fall in love with the problem, not your solution: • Can you obsess over this for a decade? • Ready for 100-hour weeks? • Your approach will pivot. Your passion can't. Choose your co-founder like your life depends on it: • You'll see them more than your family. • Misaligned motivations kill startups faster than bad markets. • Complementary skills are good. Aligned values are non-negotiable. A startup isn't built on your current expertise. It's built on grit and the right partnerships. What unexpected trait became crucial in your co-founder relationship? #startups #founders #startupecosystem #saas #retail #ecommerce

𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘥𝘰𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘢𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥? 🤔 Here's a little secret I stumbled upon: 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁. Take sales, for instance. Every Diwali, New Year's, Valentine's Day - boom, sale time! 💥 It's not rocket science. It's rhythm. The rhythm of retail that's been around forever. But here's where it gets interesting... What if you could take this "proxy principle" and apply it to your entire ecommerce strategy? Suddenly, you're not just running a store. You're orchestrating an experience that feels familiar yet fresh. And the best part? No need for long-winded explanations. Your customers already get it. That's the sweet spot where innovation meets intuition. Curious how this could transform your approach? Let's chat. 👇 Kausambi Manjita #genAI #generativeai #retail #ecommerce #personalization #ecommercemanagers #ecommercefounders #saas

❗𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙚.  Here's the wake-up call for #ecommerce: - The real money pit isn't your ad spend. 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘺 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘭. - You've paid for that click. Now 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭. - 𝘊𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘳 between you and high conversions. Kausambi exposed this costly truth on Roshan Cariappa's podcast. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨, 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙚. Tech founders, brace yourselves. Here's the kicker👇 - Sales isn't pushy tactics. It's understanding problems at their core. - You're not selling a product. You're offering a solution people actually want. - Can't communicate your idea clearly? Then you don't understand it well enough. Sahu's advice to young founders? "𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴. 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘴." Charles and Barada dig deep into this mindset shift that could make or break your startup. #sales #BDR #SDR #PLG #SaaS #tech #AI #generativeAI #retail #ecommerce

CEO @mason | Helping brands run high-performance storefronts

A thread on agents : Modern day agentic frameworks lack the legs to be seriously useful beyond the tech ecosystems. 1 - Agents require to be programmed with external plans. But how do these plans get created in the first place - they rely on human experts. 2 - think through this from how we solve problems and create work plans. We detail the problem out -> send it over for a review -> get feedback -> come up with solution potential pathways -> we brainstorm for consensus on an approach. 3 - once we decide on an approach then we come up with an execution plan - this is fairly low taxing once you have an approach around which you have consensus. This plan is usually fed into a tracker or program tool of sorts. (Think linear, clickup, asana, jira) 4 - during execution we assign individual blocks or pieces to other experts. This is essentially "Routing" based on skills and abilities. There are other factors involved - we will for the moment simplify this. We also have cost factor which decides who to route to 5 - There's "dependencies" between tasks - for workflow tools these are modelled as "dags" for the rest of the world these are modelled as task dependencies. We also estimate work based on prior execution (similar environments) and come up with an estimate. 6 - experts share progress and feedback on individual elements. These are collated up as overall status reports. - think project or program managers (this is a whole other beast I will do a deep dive on this) 7 - there's collaboration between experts during execution (needs a deep dive thread into why this requires reinventing agents) Today's agents lack these models and precepts - ability to do solution design (needs domain expertise) - auto - dependency modelling (need explicity DAG's think langgraph) - "expert" collaboration (missing concept) I will keep sharing more observations around other challenges with agentic frameworks. These 2 people started stalking - I happen to know Suresh, who's this other guy 🤔?

🤯 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 '𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯'. Barada, drops this 💣: - Coding in 'human language' > coding in python - Sales isn't snake oil, it's problem-solving - Tomorrow's tech leaders? Master communicators One engineer told Barada: "I don't need to learn to communicate. I can code." Sahu's response? 👇 Is 'human fluency' the real superpower in tech? #genai #generativeai #retail #ecommerce #ecommerceai #shopping #techstory #communication #tech
