    Barada Sahu at an ETRetail event spoke about how eCommerce 3.0 & Bazaar stack is the next generation stack for commerce. 🔥 Some key highlights 👉 ▶ Evolution of Commerce Stacks Commerce is evolving from the first generation stack (e.g., Amazon, Walmart) to the second generation stack, consisting of platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce. The next evolution is referred to as the "born in India stack" or the "bazaar stack," emphasizing an integrated infrastructure from listings to payments to fulfillment. ▶ Commerce 3.0 - Customer First Approach Commerce 3.0 is all about focusing on a customer-first approach. Setting up online stores is only part of coming online, true business growth is about understanding and connecting with consumers. ▶ Consumer-Centric Stack The key emphasis is on building a consumer stack, and the next generation stack is envisioned as a "customer-first bazaar" or a "bazaar economy" centered around the consumer. The goal is to connect products with consumers by understanding their behavior across various channels. ▶ Attention Across Channels Consumers today interact across multiple channels, including social media, TV ads, email, and physical stores. The importance lies in offering a consumer-first stack that seamlessly connects these channels, recognizing the unified experience of the consumer. ▶ Bazaar Economy The concept of the bazaar, seen as a uniquely Indian idea, is highlighted.     Festive online shoppers are changing big time! in 2023 ecommerce traffic surged by 23%, shoppers spent 10% more time per page, and viewed 22% more pages. The twist? Sales rose by 4.41% YoY. Key findings from 2023: 1️⃣ Shoppers are 81% more likely to click on personalized offers 2️⃣ Onsite product recommendations got five times more clicks 3️⃣ Product recommendations in emails saw a 13% boost in clicks 🚀 Winning strategies Retailers upped the ante with 76% more product recommendations, doubled personalized content, and introduced 5x more online pop-ups compared to previous year. 🛍 Vertical Growth ▶ Health & Beauty: Traffic up 14.76%, sales up 14.52%, AOV up 11.21% ▶ Fashion & Accessories: Traffic up 26.38%, sales up 4.56%, AOV up 4.27% ▶ Sporting Goods & Hobbies: Traffic up 23.03%, sales up 12.85%, AOV up 7.84% 📱 Mobile Rules 74% of traffic and 62% of sales came from mobile, but high-value purchases still prefer desktops, with an AOV of $141.59 compared to $109.01 on mobile. 💡 Key Takeaway Investing in easy product discovery pays off!
