🎁 Corporate Gifting Specialist | Founder, Owner and CEO, Caribou Gifts | Leader | Board Member | Mentor | Speaker | Community Builder | Master of getting stuff done

I started Caribou Gifts in 2020 while on maternity leave with my second daughter as a side hustle and something to do for myself while off work. It was a dream and a distraction from those early days of motherhood at the time and nothing more. As we went though 2020 and the demand for gift delivery was high I started to realize that this could really be something. Our website was up and running and orders were trickling in. My basement was slowly turning into a warehouse. As we approached Christmas I put together our first holiday catalogue and offering. I sent it out to my friends and colleagues and asked everyone to share. Some new clients found us online too. One new client who found us was Jill Romain who was working at GS1 Canada at the time. They were looking for employee gifts for hundreds of employees + gifts for their employees viritual kids Christmas party. Jill wanted to support local business with this order and reached out to us. We were lucky enough to get this contract and we have continued to work with GS1 ever since. My husband and I filled this contract from my basement before we had a storefront and a team. It kickstarted our entire business today and we are so grateful 🙏 In case you’re curious what they ordered - it was a gift basket called Dasher and this year we brought back a very similar version of it pictured below. If you’re looking for holiday gifts this year drop me a line at hello@caribougifts.ca. We’d love to work with you to elevate your employee and client gift giving this season.
