  • We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported the RBC Race for the Kids. Over the past five years, thousands have participated and cheered - all in support of the Child & Youth Mental Health Program at McMaster Children's Hospital. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on the lives of children and youth in our community. "RBC's purpose - to help clients thrive and communities prosper - inspires our teams to do what's right every time. And a big part of this commitment focuses on helping to build healthy, resilient employees, leaders and community members," says Claude DeMone, Regional President for Southwestern Ontario with RBC. "That's why I'm so proud to share that through the RBC Race for the Kids, we've raised more than $384,000 over the past five years - an incredible support for youth mental health services at McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton." While this marks the end of the RBC Race for the Kids in our community, your participation has helped us achieve remarkable milestones. Because of your commitment, McMaster Children's Hospital can continue to offer essential resources to families and ensure young people receive the support they need to thrive.

After an illness led to the amputation of one of his legs, Jay was deeply motivated to get up and moving again. Upon their arrival at McMaster Children's Hospital, Wade's family was immediately enveloped by a team ready to provide both medical care and emotional support.
