Canadian Patient Safety Week wraps up today! Staff came together to share their patient safety practices in a puzzle masterpiece. Each puzzle piece reflects vital practices— like patient advocacy, effective communication, and procedure adherence—reminding us that every role contributes to a safer environment for all! In the spirit of CMH’s commitment to patient safety, Kellen Baldock, Patient Safety & Quality Lead, was at the 2024 Ottawa Patient Safety Conference to showcase the hospital’s innovative Patient Safety Dashboard that enhances access to safety data. At Sunnybrook, we celebrated Canadian Patient Safety Week through a variety of engaging activities, including a booth, unit visits, a panel discussion, and the launch of a workforce survey. It was inspiring to see everyone actively participate and reflect on their thoughts about healthcare harm and ways to prevent it.
