We stand with Telegram Messenger and the TON Foundation during Pavel Durov's arrest. His commitment to free speech and privacy is vital in today's world. Helika supports his fight for the fundamental right to express oneself freely. It is impressive to see the quality of talent and products that TON is pushing forward, driving the whole web3 ecosystem forward. Helika continues to support builders in this ecosystem, through: 1) The roll-out of the Helika Analytics on Telegram (completed) 2) Additional Helika discounts to support the French start-up ecosystem at times of uncertainty 3) Fast-tracking acceptance of top dev teams into the Telegram Gaming Program

Psychographic data in Web3: Blockchains allow us to collect additional, verifiable, public data about users. When embedded into a questing system that links wallets and social accounts, we can quickly build holistic segments utilizing: • Social,  • In-game, • On chain • And off chain data. For instance, wallet values can signal a user’s social class. Exemplary psychographic segments in web3 include: 1) Degens: Users who like to speculate. We can identify them by their on chain footprint, for example, trading meme coins. To cater to this segment, we can add financial meta layers to our game, such as wager game modes. 2) Investor-types These are not necessarily engaged players themselves but they add value to the game economy in other ways. Usually, these are higher social classes with limited leisure time but a high interest in gaming as a business. Overall, psychographic segmentation can help to provide more depth to player personas by answering why users behave like they do. This allows game studios to fine-tune their messaging and features. Retention is a measure of potential ecosystem stickiness... This can result from several factors, with the three strongest being: • Quality of community • Availability of useful consumer apps • User experience/ease of use Ecosystem and user experience are key for game studios when choosing a chain, so retention data is crucial. We measured how well ecosystems retain users in the first week. We see a big difference between chains with the most users and those with the best retention. Interestingly, we see a massive spike in retention on Base to 0.6 (i.e. in August '23, approximately 60% of users were retained after the first week of account creation). This retention spike is strongly linked to the launch of the viral social app, Friend Tech. It highlights the viral and lasting impact of social network effects on the use of underlying infrastructure. Excluding the Friend Tech-related outlier numbers, Arbitrum, Base, Avax, and BSC have shown consistently strong retention rates. These are all ecosystems with strong gaming communities, and it’s clear why. They are all: • Consumer- and scalability-focused; • Have low transaction costs; • And high TPS. These numbers generally vary widely, ranging from as low as 5% during volatile market conditions to a peak of around 35-40% retention. We're noticing a slight upward trend in the floor price of the InfiniGods Infinipass NFT collection. Additionally, volume has surged over the past week. A major catalyst for this collection is the anticipated release of a token by year’s end.

What is Madrid In-Game? A Spanish government initiative to invest heavily in digital and creative industries, uniting major gaming companies and training centers in Madrid. Our very own @bigdog_max visited Madrid on-site recently, here's what we learned and why we're bullish on games from Spain: 1) The government is investing $50M+ into tech startups. Over 40% of these startups are gaming studios 🎮 2) Madrid In-Game offers game studios co-working space, a recording studio, an esports center, business and growth training, networking events, VC connections, and more for 18 months. Studios can leverage this environment to foster growth. 3) We met with startups like Second World Games and ConWiro to deepen our understanding of this promising startup ecosystem.

Which chain handled the most gaming transactions? 1. BSC (40%) 2. Polygon (39.9%) 3. Arbitrum (18%) 4. ETH 5. Base 6. Avalanche Data from: February 2023 - February 2024 Chains like BSC, Polygon, and Arbitrum offer high transaction volumes through more on-chain content. ETH Mainnet and Avalanche attract less transactionally-intensive games with more off-chain elements. The Base ecosystem is highly scalable, though its gaming segment is still evolving.
