🔓📝 ijMPB Open Acess Article 🔓📝 : “Projectified collaboration between nonprofit organizations and public organizations” 🖊Authors: Mikael Löfström This study explores how the projectification of collaboration between nonprofit organizations and local authorities affects organizational autonomy and long-term missions, with emphasis on project-based funding and governance structures influencing identity, resource dependence, and sustainable social value delivery. Findings reveal that while projectification secures essential resources and legitimacy, it simultaneously imposes short-termism, administrative burdens, and restrictions on autonomy, often leading NPOs to align with funders’ priorities and risk mission drift. Mitigation strategies, such as diversifying funding sources and adopting flexible governance, can alleviate these tensions, balancing external demands with internal objectives. 📓Interested in learning more?
