We had a great time on the PALS (Partners Assisting Local Schools) train rides these past two weeks! Our team at NBM Railways took over 1,000 Grade 4 students and staff from 17 schools in the Saint John Education Centre for a ride in our passenger cars following Rail Safety Week. We enjoyed views of the Reversing Falls, beautiful fall colours and some delicious pizza. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success!🚂 Anglophone South School District (ASD-S)

Building strong communities means investing in our future. #DidYouKnow across our forest supply chain we invest in tomorrow's workforce by funding scholarships and hiring between 900 and 1,000 summer students + over 100 tree planters. This gives the next generation hands-on experience in a vital New Brunswick industry, and helps pave the way for a long-standing career. Congratulations to Darrel Nickerson, the Director of Health & Safety for the Pulp & Paper Division, who has been awarded the 2024 Health & Safety Star Award from WorkSafeNB/Travail sécuritaire NB. #DidYouKnow as part of our working forest strategy, we conserve wildlife and wildlife habitat? One of the animals our Woodlands foresters look for is the yellow-spotted salamander. They use abandoned small mammal burrows for their home and can also dig their burrow if soil conditions allow. We assist in keeping populations high by conserving over 150 amphibian sites across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Maine.
