Dr. Devi G Nair, MD, FACC, FHRS discusses the Globe Pulsed Field Mapping and Ablation System It integrates simultaneous visualisation through a globe, 3D map, and array display, enhancing precision during atrial fibrillation ablation. The system delivers an optimised, bipolar, and biphasic pulse, with each ablation cycle taking approximately 30 to 40 seconds. It allows for easy transitions between ablation sites, such as from the left superior to left inferior pulmonary veins, ensuring comprehensive lesion sets with minimal catheter repositioning. Dr Nair highlights the importance of overlapping ablation zones to achieve complete electrical isolation of the pulmonary veins, reducing the risk of AF recurrence.
