Good luck with your studies this year Kia Massah We’re thrilled to have you staying on part-time.
I'm excited to share that l've completed my summer internship at Lauren Services, and I'm grateful for the incredible experience. Every day, I learned something new, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of the amazing engineers around me. I'm also thrilled to continue contributing to the team part-time while I pursue my studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Calgary. The skills and insights l've gained at Lauren will definitely enhance my studies and help me become a better student.

After another amazing summer, our interns are heading back to school next week. We welcomed four students from The University of British Columbia, UBC Okanagan, University of Alberta and University of Calgary to our Calgary office where they gained practical experience and skills to bring back with them to school. We’re fortunate enough to have three students staying on with us this fall in part-time positions, allowing them to focus on their learning at school (our top priority) and contribute to our team in the office. When asked about his experience at Lauren, here’s what intern Ali Danesh had to say: “Everybody on the team is extremely helpful and supportive. Questions are received with enthusiastic answers, and the level of mindfulness is astounding. The most common response I have gotten from my colleagues finding out that I am working part time at Lauren this fall has been to “Make sure school is a priority.” I think this is the best example of how the work culture in Lauren fosters a family-like atmosphere rather than a mere workplace.” Thank you to our interns for all of your hard work, and best of luck in the coming school year!

Sometimes our morning commute involves a helicopter. We partnered with Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. to work on the remediation of the Salvus To Galloway (S2g) Pipeline to ensure Prince Rupert, BC maintained access to a crucial supply of natural gas. A helicopter or jet boat were often needed to gain site access, which was limited by weather, geohazards and permit restrictions throughout the project. We are exceptionally proud of the team that worked diligently on this project for six years, helping us identify the opportunities and challenges in the planning phases and continuing to adapt as the project progressed.
