What a tremendous week at #AESPSummerCon here in Toronto! It was great to see old friends and meet so many new folks. Plus, the content was unparalleled—some deep dives into demand flexibility, great discussions on energy transition customer experience, and a solid snapshot of what’s going on here on Ontario, and beyond. Huge thanks to the AESP team for a great event, and especially to Ashley and Ian for helping us deliver some delicious bon bons to the attendees (and thank you Ian for the amazing photos!) Thanks to the AESP Ontario Chapter for the cottage party and hot dog buffet, and to our friends at Doer/Maker for the Jenga! We are pleased to announce that Lowfoot has been selected as a delegate in Canada’s Sustainable Cities Trade & Investment Mission to Poland and Ukraine this fall. We’ll be visiting and working with cities in Poland whose goal is to be climate-neutral by 2030, and working with cities in Ukraine who are making rapid changes in energy resiliency, decentralization, and demand flexibility. Cities have the ability to make real change happen quickly, and we’re excited to help their innovative efforts in decarbonization, energy efficiency, and sustainability. We’re also very happy for the opportunity to strengthen the productive discussions already in progress with municipalities in Poland and Ukraine. See you in Warsaw and Rzeszów in October! This week our founder and chairman Philip Playfair for represented Lowfoot at #EXPOAPA as part of the Canada Water Tech booth in beautiful Brașov, Romania. We're seeing a strong demand for energy efficiency and decarbonization in the water sector, and this event was a great way to be introduced to the Romanian market. A very productive first visit to Serbia for Lowfoot! Thank you to Filip Petrovic and the Embassy of Canada to Serbia | Ambassade du Canada en Serbie for your support—we are excited about Serbia as a new market and look forward to returning. 

My spring conference season finished strong last week with visits to CHARGE - Powering Energy Brands in Houston and the ERCOT Innovation Summit in Austin. CHARGE was jam-packed with great content about strengthening communications and trust with energy customers. AND they carried through despite a massive thunderstorm and power outage - I really enjoyed the analog version on Day 2! Congratulations to Fridrik Larsen PhD, Sorine Benzait, and the whole CHARGE team on a fantastic event. The ERCOT Innovation Summit had some great deep dives on what's being done to meet massive increases in forecasted demand. There's a ton of innovation happening at all levels of the grid, and the one-day summit did a great job of showcasing it. Special thanks to Steven Ashby for a great keynote on all the important work being done by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. And finally a thank you to Bettie Cross and CBS Austin for taking the time to speak with me about how the changing energy landscape impacts ordinary people. https://lnkd.in/gqBEqB8q
