Our CEO is taking #resilienceplanning into her own hands as she prepares for #HurricaneMilton. Vehicle to anything (#V2X) is just one of many resilience applications that people can use to help them get by during catastrophic events. Other solutions include local microgrids, nanogrids, on-site storage, and back up generators. But above all else, please stay safe and follow the advice and safety orders of local officials whenever possible.

As we prepare for #HurricaneMilton at AESP HQ in CITY OF OVIEDO FL, we're testing the vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities of our #KIAEV6. Initial tests are promising - we successfully powered a deep freezer, a large fan, a TV, and a computer simultaneously with a draw of 300 Watts per hour. With our 77 kWh battery, we have a substantial power reserve for an extended outage. Stay tuned for more updates as we ride through. Stay safe during Hurricane Milton, Florida! #resilienceplanning #electricvehicles #V2X #hurricaneplan

Our thoughts are with our staff in Florida, North Carolina, and everyone affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. As our colleagues, members, line persons, first responders, and communities face the devastating effects of these storms, we stand in solidarity with you. Now more than ever, it’s important to come together and offer support where it’s needed most. For those looking to help, here are some immediate actions you can take: Donate to local organizations like the Florida Disaster Fund, Feeding Florida, and in North Carolina, the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund and Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, all providing direct support to those impacted. Volunteer your time with local shelters or aid groups such as the American Red Cross Florida Region and American Red Cross Eastern North Carolina. Spread the word about critical needs like blood donations and essential supplies for shelters and food banks. Every act of kindness, whether donating or volunteering, will have a lasting impact as communities work to rebuild and recover. Let’s continue to uplift each other and stay resilient through this challenging time.
