Yesterday I learned that a member of the MakeShift team bought her first home I learned another member of our staff while on vacation with his family took time to visit one of our colleagues who has been on a paid mat leave since last May I thought that was pretty cool Yesterday around 20 requests to approve requisitions for new hires hit my desk and I couldn’t help but feel a great sense of pride in getting to be a part of this great company and group of people and was reminded what KPIs are worth celebrating The numbers will always matter but this stuff is #whatreallymatters #KPIs

I wanted to quickly express my thanks to the SAP SuccessFactors #TeamCanada for the opportunity to present MakeShift innovations to their clients in #Calgary yesterday. Asher Fredricks & Kellin Carson did a great job of differentiating between what’s traditionally known as ‘Time and Attendance’ with a modern approach to #peoplefirst scheduling Their presentation was titled ‘From punching in to Tuning in: Making Work more Human’ Being in Calgary also provided me as MakeShift CEO a chance to visit our office where we have a large product and engineering contingent and to enjoy a night out together where we celebrated Kellins 6 year work-a-versary, our Great Place to Work® Canada certification and the completion of several months of intense development sprints on a complex project. It felt great to unwind with colleagues and enjoy some non zoom screen interactions Im now looking forward to heading back home to #Vancouver for the weekend before heading to #Toronto next week for the SAP Public Sector Innovation Event.
