Last Friday we hosted a Trail Opening Ceremony celebrating the completion of enhancements to Kiwanis Memorial Park South. The event marked the end of Phase 1 of the Downtown Site & Trail Enhancements Plan, a multi-year project slated to revitalize the Meewasin Trail from River Landing to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan (https://lnkd.in/giGFVktw). This project wouldn't have been possible without the support of the Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan, the City of Saskatoon, Trans Canada Trail | Sentier Transcanadien, and of course, the many individual donors that so generously contributed. Thank you to MLA Lisa Lambert, Councillor Bev Dubois, and Trans Canada Trail CEO Mathieu Roy for bringing remarks, Trans Canada Trail Director Robert Kuling for your support, and as always, Meewasin Board Chair Angela Bedard-Haughn and CEO Andrea Lafond for your continued leadership.
