6 pieces of advice I wish someone had given me at the start of my HR career: 1️⃣ Slow down. Right is better than fast. 2️⃣ Creativity in HR is rare. Grow that skill. 3️⃣ People are complex. Ask more questions. 4️⃣ HR is nuanced. Your approaches should be as well. 5️⃣ “This is how we’ve always done it” isn’t a good reason. 6️⃣ Mistakes will happen. HR pros don’t have to be perfect.
