What an incredible experience at #montrealdreamin24!
Last Thursday, I immersed myself in a day full of learning and networking in the Salesforce and MuleSoft ecosystems at Montréal Dreamin. I was joined by Amit Kumar, François Bousquet and Mathias Magni and the event was packed with insightful workshops and hands-on sessions.
🚀 Innovating with DevOps in Salesforce:
The first workshop shed light on the nuances of implementing DevOps within Salesforce. Unlike traditional IT, Salesforce simplifies infrastructure management, allowing for faster solution delivery. However, as many participants (myself included) agreed, simply having a dedicated tool isn’t enough. Cultivating a DevOps culture and using tools effectively is crucial.
🤖 Harnessing Salesforce Hyperautomation:
Another highlight was exploring hyperautomation through Salesforce and Mulesoft, particularly with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP). This session demonstrated the potential of automating data extraction from documents into Salesforce, and the opportunity to get hands-on with this tool (thanks to Integration Quest) made this workshop an invaluable experience.
💡 Nonprofit Cloud:
The session on NPC was both enlightening and divisive. Unlike NPSP, NPC is built directly on the Salesforce Core, offering more power but at a higher cost and with fewer features. However, Nonprofit Cloud keeps growing and expanding, so even if you're not 100% sold on it yet, it's worth keeping an eye out for it as new features come along.
🔍 Exploring Data Cloud with Hands-On Activities:
The hands-on session with Data Cloud was an eye-opener. Connecting and unifying data from various sources to create a single customer view is no small feat, but the process was made accessible through Salesforce’s robust tools. The workshop was very interactive and really helped me have a better grasp on Data Cloud concepts and workflows.
📈 Best Practices for 2024:
The final workshop focused on best practices for Salesforce in 2024. From governance to flow optimization, it was a goldmine of actionable insights.
🤝 Networking in the Salesforce Ecosystem:
One of the most valuable aspects was the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals. The collaboration and community in this space are unmatched.
Overall, Montreal Dreamin' 24 was a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. I’m excited to take these new insights and apply them to my work.
Thanks Synechron and Synechron Canada for the opportunity of attending, looking forward to more events like this in the future!
