Check out our latest case study — how Fable automated its demand forecasting and planning processes with Moselle 🤩 - $120,000 annual savings by eliminating a full-time demand planner role - 80 hours saved per month on forecasting and planning tasks - Only a 10% variance between recent and actual forecasts Here’s how it happened: Spreadsheet-based planning models couldn’t keep up with Fable’s rapid business growth — CEO and Co-Founder Joe Parenteau needed a new scalable solution to better support the brand’s fast-growing supply and demand. Partnering with Moselle gave Joe’s team the visibility to finally transition from manual spreadsheet-based systems to a data-driven growth strategy. Moselle’s flexible platform streamlined Fable’s monthly demand planning by integrating e-commerce, retail, and B2B inputs into a unified forecast, creating comprehensive sales plans across all business areas. In Joe’s words: “Demand and supply planning for Fable has always been a challenge. We were such a young company, we didn’t have a lot of time to develop our processes. Now, as Fable’s matured, we’ve been lucky to find Moselle.” Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/g7_TFuqn

Wilet needed a robust inventory management system to replace their outdated spreadsheets, so they partnered with Moselle. So far, the results are outstanding: - 80% more accurate forecasts - 16%+ reduction in out-of-stocks - $60,000+ annual savings on staffing costs Here’s how it went down: Wilet reached three-month lead times while growing their business from 6 to 100+ SKUs — co-founder and CEO Vivian McCormick immediately saw the need for a scalable inventory management solution. Partnering with Moselle was the critical next step in eliminating spreadsheet guesswork and implementing data-driven inventory calls. Moselle’s platform provided the granular insights and visibility Vivian’s team needed to nail inventory levels, analyze bundling strategy performance, and even spot subtle customer behavior patterns that had slipped through the cracks. In Vivian’s words: “Moselle pulled in all the data we needed from a sales perspective. It has cut the time we need to figure these things out down to a fraction of what it would have taken if we were just going off of spreadsheets.” Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/dwtZxpir

🤫 What the best brands are doing behind the scenes for 2024. I decided to start 2024 by taking a two-week social media detox to begin the year with deliberate focus and retrospective on myself & Moselle. One of the things I have been obsessively thinking about during by break was what REALLY happened to brands 2023 and how are they planning for 2024? I came across this great quote from Alan Kay that is very applicable to this relishing mood of change: "In order to predict the future, you have to invent it." Top observations I am seeing as part of this "reinvention": 🔪 Cut more and don't be ashamed - Brands awkwardly cut back but didn't want to admit it back in early 2023 because they thought they were signalling defeat. Now, it seems like a moment of pride for many of them, and I too would feel a high if I were selling at the same rate but with 15% less spending. Keep on cutting! ⚖️ Sell more with a smaller catalog* - Growing without worrying about experimental product lines that carried over after the pandemic are most likely pushed further towards phase out. (Liquidation sales here we come!) The overhead these non-essential SKUs are creating drain, and most brands (especially operators) are going to relish in simpler product lines. There are some obvious exceptions, but overall growing top-line with far less SKUs will be a continued trend for the disciplined. 🤖 Automation - I get the sense that brands are quietly looking to automate many of their core functions with AI tooling. 2023 was the year of AI; is 2024 the year that brands actually cute headcount with AI? I'm not 100% sure on this, but I can guarantee you it will happen with SMBs first before it happens with big retailers. Depending on how this shakes out, this might become a competitive edge for some. I am already seeing great brands pivot away from their traditional yearly plans and think outside the box to reinvent a new path toward greener pastures, which just so happens to be with much less baggage. #commerce #ecommerce #retail #supplychain #forecasting
