Regardless if you are in big business, small business, government, not-for-profit, or even a stay at home parent, we all need leadership in our lives. Here at Moving Forward Leadership, I focus on the three domains of leadership: - Leading yourself: Setting yourself up for success is crucial to ensure that you can effectively lead others. - Leading your people: Taking care of the individuals within your organization so that you can build strong teams capable to achieving peak performance. - Leading your organization: Making your organization more effective, and more efficient in order to boost its output is what leaders must strive for in today's day and age. Time to stop bossing in order to "motivate" your people and get results but start leading them to new heights through inspiration, motivation, and connection.

Hello, leadership enthusiasts! 🚀 I’m Scott McCarthy, your Chief Leadership Officer, and I’m thrilled to share insights from our latest episode of “Peak Performance Leadership.” This episode is part of our new segment, Military Monday, where we delve into military principles that can empower modern leaders. In this week’s episode titled "Lead by Example," I discussed the core leadership principle of setting a powerful example for your team. Based on my 23 years of service in the Canadian Army, here are three key takeaways that can transform your leadership approach: ### 🔑 Key Takeaways: - **Personal Discipline and Accountability:** - Discipline is crucial; it outlasts motivation. Implement task trackers, maintain an up-to-date calendar, and embrace accountability partners. Transparency about your goals can indirectly hold you accountable, inspiring your team to follow suit. - **Continuous Self-Improvement:** - Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth. When your team sees your dedication to self-improvement, it encourages them to elevate their own skills. Small steps, like taking breaks to recharge, can lead to significant positive changes within your team. - **Building Trust and Respect:** - Always show respect, regardless of rank or position. By fostering a respectful environment, you create psychological safety, build trust, and ensure effective communication within your team. Remember, effective listening and understanding are paramount. Leading by example is not just a leadership technique; it’s a mindset. By embodying these principles, you can cultivate a high-performing and cohesive team. 🔊 **Tune in to the full episode to dive deeper into these principles and more!** https://vist.ly/3mhqnuy How do you lead by example in your team?
