No one believes the ROI of negotiation training and coaching. When I say the ROI is in the tens of millions or more for enterprise sales or procurement teams it seems outrageous, unrealistic, and embellished. And it makes me look like Dr. Evil. They do one of the following: 1. Rolls their eyes 2. Says: "Be realistic." 3. Give a facial expression of disbelief But the reality is that one single deal where well practiced negotiation skills are implemented, could generate a 20X ROI on training or more. So now when people ask me the ROI, I say that it saves lives, delivers babies, and guides you to the afterlife [because it sounds more realistic]. #NegotiationsCoach #Sales #Procurement #NegotiationSkillsTraining

But it got me thinking… Patience has never been my strong suit. And neither has discomfort. 😂 Yet, the ability to endure pain and sit in discomfort might be the key to success—especially in negotiation. Negotiation often requires patience, even when it’s uncomfortable. Your ability to hold out could be what determines the outcome. I’ve had to learn patience by intentionally putting myself into tough, uncomfortable situations and staying there. Is it fun? Not at all. But it’s one of the best teachers I’ve had—whether in business, life, or health.
