We are returning with Cape Breton Partnership to Ingonish on Tuesday, October 29 for a continued conversation about offshore wind potential with residents. So far, our conversations on the mainland have proven how two-way information sharing, between researchers and community members, is effective in preparing all for future engagements or calls for assessments with regulators and government. We encourage all to keep interested and involved. Register now or see other locations on the schedule: https://lnkd.in/eZkqaVRc

Watt Section is our next engagement on October 22, bringing us to 4 rural communities visited this season. The nature of conversations has been genuine and thorough. Both invested residents and Net Zero Atlantic staff have been deepening our understanding of the complexities and considerations from the different perspectives in the rooms. In general, we are noticing that the baseline of knowledge of offshore wind potential in Nova Scotia has risen significantly, which is good news for everyone. More people will be better able to participate in future conversations with regulators and government. The energy transition is happening now and the future can be sustainable and inclusive.
