Congratulations to our amazing client Peter de Rama in presenting the Canadian Tourism Data Consortium platform to the OECD. We can’t wait to see it go live!
Peter de Rama, directeur exécutif, Données et innovation numérique, à Destination Canada, a pris la parole lors du dernier atelier sur le partage, la gouvernance et l’intégration des données dans le domaine du tourisme organisé par l’Union européenne (UE) et l’Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques (OCDE) à Bruxelles (Belgique). L’atelier visait à faciliter l’échange de connaissances et de pratiques exemplaires en matière de partage et d’intégration de données afin d’améliorer la prise de décisions des gouvernements et des entreprises fondées sur des données probantes. Les membres de l’UE et de l’OCDE sur place ont découvert comment évaluer le tourisme à l’aune de nouvelles sources de données et intégrer les ensembles de données du secteur pour en améliorer notre compréhension. Ils ont aussi abordé les problèmes principaux en matière de partage de données, notamment la gouvernance des données, l’infrastructure numérique et la satisfaction des besoins des utilisateurs finaux. La présentation de Peter de Rama traitait principalement de l’expérience acquise lors du développement des bases techniques du Consortium de données touristiques canadiennes (CDTC), une plateforme nationale qui facilite la consultation et le partage de données au sein de l’écosystème touristique. Sa présentation a notamment traité des efforts de l’équipe en matière d’automatisation, d’assurance de la qualité des données intégrées et de l’architecture selon laquelle les données sont classées par équipe de produits. Tous ces éléments contribuent à la création et au maintien de produits de données touristiques pour le CDTC, actuellement en développement.
