Allow us to introduce a very special passenger from Powell River! 🐻 This orphaned bear cub was rescued by Powell River Orphaned Wildlife Society and transported on Pacific Coastal Airlines from Powell River (YPW) to Vancouver (YVR) on October 17. The cub will be rehabilitated in Vancouver and then returned back home. At Pacific Coastal Airlines, we are honoured to be part of the cub's journey. Our commitment to serving communities encompasses everyone, and we are so proud to be able to contribute to the wildlife of our province. Last Friday, Pacific Coastal Airlines was honoured to attend one of the premier aviation industry events of the year - Silver Wings Industry and Scholarship Awards Celebration 2024! Hosted by British Columbia Aviation Council - BCAC, the event celebrated excellence in aviation of aspiring students and industry leaders. ✈️ We would like to congratulate our scholarship recipients on their hard work and dedication to aviation. Three scholarships, each valued at $10,000 pay tribute to the legacies of Daryl Smith, Paul Biglin, and Sheldon Smith and are directed toward Indigenous youth and aspiring pilot-AME training students. We would also like to express our gratitude to the BC Aviation Council for organizing this meaningful event and administering the scholarship program.
