About us

Privacy Analytics, an IQVIA company, enables organizations to unlock the value of sensitive data for secondary purposes without compromising personal information. The need to de-identify data is accelerating, as data collection grows amid the impact of regulations and concerns over privacy of protected personal and health information (PPI/PHI). To address this, organizations must de-identify personal information using a risk-based approach that goes beyond simple masking techniques. The result: better, faster, cleaner datasets that can meet specific needs for secondary use such as research and analytics. Privacy Analytics is recognized as global experts. Our expertise and methodology have been proven in the most demanding privacy environments.

In a few weeks, Privacy AnalyticsAbby McDonell, Senior Program Manager, Clinical Trial Transparency, will be presenting on Thursday, November 7, 2024 (10:00 am CET) at Informa's Clinical Data Disclosure Europe Conference in Amsterdam. Register using the VIP discount code CDDEU24SPK and save 10%. Presentation Topic:  Transparency-by-Design: Build Efficiencies into Your Clinical Document Disclosure Process Since the introduction of EMA’s Clinical Data Publication Policy, sponsors have been grappling with a unique problem – the timely and accurate capture and protection of personal and commercial data contained in clinical trial documents. As this information is often dense, varied, and buried in lengthy unstructured text, its post-hoc protection through redaction or statistically derived transformation can pose a significant challenge. As public document disclosure becomes an integral part of the clinical trial lifecycle, sponsors could proactively reduce this burden by incorporating best practices in writing transparency-friendly clinical documents. Join Abby McDonell, Sr. Program Manager with IQVIA’s Clinical Trial Transparency Team (powered by Privacy Analytics), to gain actionable insights on how to optimise your medical writing processes to simplify downstream disclosure and transparency initiatives whilst ensuring participant and commercial data privacy remains protected.   Informa Clinical Data Disclosure Europe Conference 2024: • November 7-8, 2024 • Amsterdam Marriott Hotel, Amsterdam, The Netherlands Check out the full agenda here => https://lnkd.in/eW-fBVR3   #dataprivacy #anonymization #deidentification #ClinicalTrials #pharma

When starting an anonymization project, you need to know how the data will be used, where it will reside, and who will be accessing it: https://lnkd.in/e3dnKJaz If you’ve been involved in #anonymization projects (such as Expert Determinations under #HIPAA), you may have wondered why you had to describe the #data context in such detail. In this article, Brian Rasquinha, Associate Director, Solution Architecture, Privacy Analytics, discusses why context matters in anonymization projects and why environmental controls play such an important role in the analysis and resulting recommendations from a statistical expert. Join Privacy Analytics’ Luk Arbuckle and Stephen Bamford from Johnson & Johnson tomorrow, September 17, starting at 10 am ET / 3 pm GMT, as they explore the opportunities and challenges in clinical trial data transparency, emphasizing the importance of diversity, accuracy, and ethical data practices.     This session, which is part of the PHUSE DT Autumn (Virtual) Event, will provide a comprehensive overview of how statistical sharing can transform data management in clinical trials, ensuring robust research while safeguarding participant privacy.   Session Title: Diversity in Clinical Trial Data Transparency: A New Horizon for Data Sharing with Truthful Statistics   Abstract: As clinical trials increasingly prioritize diverse participant representation, the complexities of data anonymization and transparency increase. This presentation delves into the transformative shift from raw clinical data sharing to the innovative practice of statistical sharing, a method designed to uphold data quality and transparency and mitigate biases.    The transition to producing accurate and reliable statistics while ensuring privacy and data utility emerges as a robust solution to the challenges posed by managing diverse anonymized data. This approach prioritizes the generation of truthful statistics, which adhere to the principles of data anonymization without compromising the integrity of the research. Key strategies include the use of synthetic datasets, aggregated counts, and advanced analytics, including artificial intelligence and machine learning (AIML). Each technique offers distinct advantages and challenges, balancing the need for insightful research and ethical data handling. These methods collectively create a pathway for transforming protected clinical trial data into secure and practical statistics, enabling researchers to derive meaningful insights without exposing raw data.   Register now => https://lnkd.in/efGPEh9c   #PHUSE #data #datasharing #privacy #iqvia
