We welcomed the chance to give a tour of our LEED Gold Standard-certified building and illustrate our commitment to sustainability and innovation. This facility represents a significant investment in reducing our carbon footprint and enhancing service levels for our community. Important Edmonton Survey Alert! The City of Edmonton is considering a number of climate-resilient action items. They include: 1. Having a dedicated permit process for energy efficient buildings that exceed the Province’s energy performance requirements. (like Calgary) 2. Requiring new sites and buildings to be designed in a way that makes it easier to install electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the future. 3. Requiring new buildings be designed to maximize sun exposure on the roof and make it easier to install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in the future. They are conducting a survey on these and other prospective actions until July 23rd. If you live or work in Edmonton, please take a minute to complete the survey.
