Visa employs AI and machine learning to combat fraud, with significant success. From October 2022 to September 2023, Visa prevented $40 billion in fraudulent activity, nearly double the previous year, according to James Mirfin, Global Head of Risk and Identity Solutions. Visa's AI analyzes over 500 attributes per transaction to detect fraud, especially in online transactions.
