    😟 Worried if your Interviewer will ask you about how to assess an SQL (Sales Qualified Lead) in your first ever interview for an Entry-Level Sales Role? You'll need to be able to speak to some sort of Lead Graduation Checklist you plan to use in your daily prospecting efforts... In this case, Use BANT. Think of BANT as your go-to checklist for figuring out if a potential customer is a good fit for what you’re selling, and if the customer is ready to meet with an Account Executive/Manager within your company. What is BANT? 💴 Budget - This is all about finding out if the person or company you’re talking to can realistically afford what you’re offering. It’s like making sure someone can buy the car before they take it for a test drive. You’ll want to gently figure out their budget so you can match their needs with what you can offer. 👮♀ Authority - This is where you figure out if the person you’re chatting with can actually say ‘yes’ to a deal. It’s like making sure you’re talking to the boss, not just someone who can’t make the final call. You need to know you’re discussing your product or service with someone who can make decisions. ✍ Need - This is where you dive into what the customer really needs and whether what you’re selling can make their life easier. It’s about connecting the dots between their problem and your solution. Think of it as being a detective, uncovering what they truly need and showing them how what you offer can help. ⏰ Timeline - This is about understanding when they’re planning to make a decision or a purchase. It’s like knowing when they’re ready to jump into the pool. Are they looking to buy now, in a few months, or just browsing? This helps you prioritize who to focus on and how to tailor your approach. Be fluent in explaining how you'll use the BANT checklist to evaluate potential prospects, distinguishing between SQLs and those who don't qualify. If you are asked to simulate a cold call role play for your BDR/SDR interview, utilize the BANT framework to gauge your progress and identify next steps in the conversation.
