“HOPE ALL IS WELL” Personally – we hate it. Just tell me why you’re emailing me. But the data says something different. And although we’re cringing… “Hope all is well” increases reply rates AND boosts meetings booked by 24% (!!!) If you’re going to keep using (or consider adding) this phrase in your emails, spice it up. “Sarah, I hope all is well since your company was named a leader in the new Forrester report, though I imagine it’s pretty busy over there.” That addition does two things: 1. It implies familiarity, even though you don’t actually know each other which builds trust. 2. It’s too personal and relevant to be an automated sequence. So use the phrase “Hope all is well” – but use it wisely. (Still cringing though.)

“I NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT” When you hear this – don’t panic. Gong Labs data shows buyers really just need to think about it. That’s the good news. The not-so-good news is you’re more likely to have a longer sales cycle. Like 173% longer. So next time you’re hit with this objection, try this response: “When most people tell me they need to think about it, it’s typically because they’re not interested or I missed something in our meeting.” If you missed something, they’ll respond with “No, we’re interested, it’s just that…” That ‘dot dot dot’ is where they start to reveal their uncertainty, whatever it may be. How do you respond when a customer or prospect says they have to think about it? Let us know below ⤵️

EXPERT ADVICE Take this tip from Sunny Huang, Director of Strategy at Gong: “Steal this - ‘Summarize the key findings in 3 exec-facing headlines, and provide supporting quotes & examples for each one. Total words should be under 180’ It's a fool-proof prompt to build the perfect exec summary. They're the most important part of any deck... but also the most time-consuming to build. This prompt = the ultimate procrastination killer Especially effective for - Reps, on discovery & end-of-pilot calls Strategy & Ops folks, on internal interviews Give it a try.” Boom.

TEAMS WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS Sales isn’t a solo mission – it’s a team sport. Team selling means weaving multiple people from your org into the sales conversations. Think: sales engineers, sales leadership, and success managers. Because here’s the thing: Adding ONE more person from your org to sales calls DOUBLES your chances of reaching closed-won. DOUBLES (!!!) Guess teamwork really does make the deal work.
