Shelfgram

I’m excited to share that Shelfgram has been acquired by Field Agent via Five Elms Capital. The vision of our company has always been to supercharge the store check. This acquisition is a catalyst for reaching that vision substantially faster by joining forces with the awesome Field Agent team, securing investment, and vertically integrating our two technologies. With this milestone, I’ve been reflecting on our company’s roller-coaster journey. Shelfgram was bootstrapped a month before a global pandemic hit, grew during a period of unprecedented supply chain disruptions, and then matured amidst rapid inflation. Today, our platform ingests a new retail photo every second — supporting over 500 companies with data collection across 35 countries. Building Shelfgram is easily the most fun I’ve had in my career and it wouldn’t have been possible without Brendan Fox, David Tock, Anderson Hung, Michelle McKay-Prychidny, and Adam Korn. You are all so talented. To our early users, Glen Smyth, Scott Fitzgerald, Jared Kligerman, Geeta Chopra, Kelvin B, and Jeff Weisensel: thanks for signing-up and uploading thousands of your store check photos! I also want to recognize my dear friend John Piasetzki for teaching me how to code. Without your remarkable patience answering my computer questions over the years, Shelfgram would have only been an idea. Your mentorship has been a true gift. The inflection point in our growth was getting introduced to Jeff Doucette and Ralph Chiarot at Field Agent Canada. Their innovative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit helped me realize that our companies teaming up made a lot of sense. I’m so grateful for your partnership and friendship.
