Simcoe Geoscience would like to express its appreciation to the Canadian Dam Association. The Niagara Falls Conference was incredibly well put together, well attended and lots of opportunities to mix. Really looking forward to Saskatoon. This was the first time with a booth, and we will do it again most certainly. Congratulations to all who received a field vest. This is much safer than back in the day when one of us walked through the bush in a plaid jacket and got shot at. And it was out-of-season! #GeophysicsForDamsAndBridges #EngineeringGeophysics #MarineAndEnvironmentalGeophysics #NextGenerationGeophysics

Simcoe Geoscience's Geotechnical and Engineering Team was pleased to be invited to the Western Interuniversity Geoscience Conference hosted by the University of Manitoba the first week of January, 2024. Our principal recognized that many geoscience students go underequipped for field work, essentially a safety issue that has been unaddressed as safety gear can be expensive. With this need in mind, the Simcoe team was pleased to gift to all attendees an excellent field vest with a multitude of Velcro pockets, inside and outside the vest for tablets, compasses, phones, GPS, notebooks and even a backpack pouch for water and lunch and a zippered lining on the back for samples. Thank you to the University of Manitoba for hosting and the volunteers who organized this conference and the speakers. It was a very well run conference event and we look forward to seeing you again next year. #ThanksToTheUnversityOfManitoba #WesternUniversityInterGeoscienceConference2024 #SimcoeEngineeringAndGeotechnicalGeophysicalTeam

The PDAC was closing but there was still lots of time to chat with Robert Wares, President and CEO of Osisko Metals. Best wishes to Robert and his team as they seek to capitalize upon impressive base metal discoveries in Eastern Canada. Thanks also to all who visited Simcoe’s booth and chatted with us during the event. Safe travels home and we look forward to talking with many of you again as exploration renews it’s intensity in the coming field season. #ThanksForVisitingAtPDAC #NextGenerationGeophysics #DiscoveriesIn2023 #MoreIn2024

Two of our favourite geophysical friends. Dr. Ivan Hrvoic, founder and chief technical officer of Gem Systems is to the right of G. Hollyer with U. of T. professor emeritus and electromagnetic theory expert, Dr. Gordon West flanking G. Hollyer on the left. So glad to talk with you both. Cheers from the Simcoe Geoscience family. #ThanksForYourService #ThanksForYourKnowledge #ThanksForYourContinuingWorkInGeophysics

Simcoe Geoscience’s “three amigos”, at the PDAC, including, from left, Milan Situm, VP of Mining and Geotechnical Engineering; Riaz Mirza, principal and geologist-geophysicist; and Greg Hollyer, SVP and senior geophysicist. The conference has just ended. It has been great to see you all visiting at the booth and on the floor. Safe trip home and we'll talk to you again soon. #TheSimcoeGeoscienceTeam #NextGenerationGeophysics
