Our latest project for Fondation Michaëlle Jean Foundation is featured on Creative Boom 🖤 ------------------ "Trust was key to the relationship between consultancy and client, so Six Cinquième really wanted to ensure that every visual element was intentional and inclusive. Ashley Phillips said it was important "not to portray black Canadians as a monolith", so the design team worked closely with the summit's director and communications lead to "avoid any blindspots"." - Abbey Bamford Thank you Abbey Bamford and the entire Creative Boom team for putting a spotlight on this meaningful project. 🖤 🙏🏾 ------------------ https://lnkd.in/epD4D-xq

"Maybe I’m showing my age, but I’m a product of the 90s. I remember the feeling Mountain Dew gave me, that emotion of rebellion, and it gave “Fuck Shit Up” energy. They leaned into that hard, and I was personally a fan of it. That made them stand out from the other soft drinks, and their visual identity showed that." - Miro LaFlaga PepsiCo recently refreshed the brand identity of Mountain Dew, sparking a variety of opinions. Our co-founder, Miro LaFlaga, along with others, shared his views and insights on the rebrand with Dieline. Thank you Bill McCool for adding our opinion to mix. 🖤

"The annual National Black Canadians Summit, put together by the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, needed a fresh design identity ahead of its first-ever Montreal-based event in 2025. With the organisers targeting the event to become one of the biggest annual pillars for the black community in Canada, it turned to Six Cinquième to devise an identity capable of solidifying the brand’s credibility." Thank you Transform magazine for covering our latest collaboration 🖤

A few weeks ago, I was browsing the list of speakers for Circles Conference 2024 and stumbled upon Ashley Phillips—which led me to a recording of her talk with Miro LaFlaga at CreativeMornings Montréal. I was immediately inspired by what they shared. It wasn't just WHAT they said but HOW they said it. They were down-to-earth, genuine, and thoughtful—I picked up on their hunger to share knowledge with others. Then, I checked out their agency, Six Cinquième, and quickly appreciated the impact created by their work. It gives me hope for the future of the design industry. Tune in for a talk about establishing boundaries, including clients in your process, and embracing creative standstills. #graphicdesign #podcast #boundaries #creativecommunity #design #creativedirector #student #montreal Ash is a Co-Founder and Creative Director of Six Cinquième, a Montréal-based Strategic Brand Consultancy. These are some of their clients: The National Black Canadians Summit, Revenge of the Black Best Friend, The Centre for Canadians of African Descent, and Masla Empathy Lab—a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion consultancy. Six Cinquième - Six Cinquième’s Approach to Branding the National Black Canadians Summit https://lnkd.in/eHd6hUjk . Get Featured: https://lnkd.in/eFj6_sPC WBDS Awards: https://lnkd.in/dnvqp-F . The National Black Canadians Summit (NBCS), organized annually by The Michaëlle Jean Foundation (FMJF) and presented by TD Bank Group, is a cornerstone event for the Black Canadian community. The sun-like head and elated figure in the piece evoke feelings of enlightenment, community, and freedom—core themes of the NBCS. These elements embody the empowerment of individuals, while also highlighting the contributions and legacy of Black Canadians. We incorporated abstract shapes inspired by the summit’s acronym, "NBCS," to create a “window effect.” This not only added a versatile graphic element but also symbolized the summit as a “window,” or pathway, to justice, recognition, and development for Black Canadians. . #branding #brandidentity #branddesign #visualidentity #webdesign #digitaldesign #graphicdesign #logo #illustration #typography #packagingdesign #worldbranddesign #worldbranddesignsociety
