Excited to share what my team and I built this weekend: an AI-driven scholarship search tool that helps students find, match, and even apply to scholarships with ease. 🔍 We combined the power of Groq for super fast processing and hosting of our LLaMa models, slashML for AWS hosting, and FetchFox, an AI-powered web scraper, to pull scholarships from across the web into our database. From there, LLaMA matches scholarships to users, and with just a click, it crafts a personalized essay based on the prompt and user info. I couldn’t have asked for a better team: Kareem A. and Kevin Jiang brought our front end to life, while Albert Tsai and I took on the backend together to make everything run smoothly. I also want to give a big thank you to Marcell Ortutay who made FetchFox available and helped us implement it seamlessly. Finally, a huge shoutout to Jerry Wu and Wyatt Marshall for hosting such a fantastic hackathon.
