Sonepar would like to announce the retirement of William (Bill) C. Smith, Director of Transitional Business after 49 years of leadership. Over Bill’s 49 years at Electrozad, he earned the respect and friendship of customers and suppliers, but his employees were family. In 2017 EFC awarded Bill as the “2017 Industry Recognition Award Recipient”. Bill has influenced the electrical industry with strong leadership, investment in both people and organizations, strong ethics, energy and good nature. “For a short, skinny kid with long hair, coming out of St. Clair College, that worked at Electrozad part-time—that didn’t want anything to do with this industry—I soon became the S.O.B. We are pleased to announce that Sonepar has entered into an agreement to acquire Robertson Electric Wholesale.   “Sonepar is very proud to partner with the Robertson team. This will be an excellent strategic partnership as both Sonepar and Robertson are focused on customer service and being a great place to work.
