Thanks to the generous support from YVR Vancouver Airport Authority, we have been able to provide outdoor education experiences to students who might not otherwise have had the opportunity. This year, we hosted 19 classes and 471 students from equity-deserving communities, offering them immersive, hands-on learning in Stanley Park’s dynamic outdoor classrooms. By subsidizing field trip fees and transportation costs, we’ve made it possible for these students to explore forest, beach, and wetland ecology, and connect with nature in meaningful ways. This initiative not only provides quality curriculum-based environmental education but also fosters an early interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), helping to create a more diverse and inclusive future in these fields. A special thank you to YVR for making this possible and supporting our mission to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards! 🌳🐦🌊

Stanley Park Ecology reposted this
I am so proud of the team at Staney Park Ecology Society (SPES). Each member brings unique strengths and skills, and when these are combined effectively, incredible things happen. It's about the collective effort, the synergy of talents, and the way everyone contributes to something larger than themselves. The SPES team remains the cornerstone of our impact.
