Connecting people with water. Swimmable, drinkable, fishable water for everyone.
About us
The things people value most in life -- family and friendship, culture, freedom, and opportunity -- all depend on access to swimmable, drinkable, fishable waters. By blending science, law, education, and storytelling with technology, Swim Drink Fish empowers millions of people to know and safeguard their waters. Swim Drink Fish operates four programs: Great Lakes Challenge, Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, Swim Guide, and Watermark Project. Each program has a specific mission that contributes to the goal of building a national movement of active, informed, and engaged individuals working to ensure their communities can swim, drink, and fish forever. Swim Drink Fish has been working for a swimmable, drinkable, fishable future since its launch in 2001.

We are proud to be partnered with Power To Give Foundation and proud to be working towards swimmable, drinkable, fishable water on the West Coast 💧 "The reality is that we can continue to put bandaids on the issues that plague our watersheds but we need to solve those issues from the root" - Matt Brown, Director of Western Watersheds
As summer winds down, let’s make a splash with gratitude! This week, we’re highlighting the incredible work of Swim Drink Fish Canada, a dedicated partner charity working to ensure our waters are clean for everyone to enjoy. Dive into the last moments of summer knowing that their efforts help make our lakes, oceans, and rivers safe and our communities educated. Here’s to safe swims and sunny days! This video features Matt Brown, the Director of Western Watersheds. It was taken at our Healing the West Coast Gathering at Vargas Island earlier this year. #summersafely #swimdrinkfish #cleanwater #communityimpact #peopleplacepurpose #charitypartner #philanthropy #collaboration

Dedicated to the growth of the Video Game, immersive (XR), and Interactive Digital Media industry, and to the creation of many more great techno-creative careers!
I had the pleasure of experiencing the innovative Biinaagami Augmented Reality exhibit at the Canadian National Exhibition. I was so captivated by the Indigenous stories of the Great Lakes and water preservation, that I'm planning a return visit to explore them further! Kudos to Vikas Gupta and the talented team at AVARA Media for creating such an innovative and game-changing experience. It's a must-see at the CNE this year. #AR #MadeinOntario Interactive Ontario

I am honored and privileged to accept the role (and the responsibility) of the Lake Ontario Waterkeeper with Swim Drink Fish Canada and the Waterkeeper Alliance. While I was born in the #LakeErie watershed on the Grand River, #LakeOntario has been my home for many years, and I am thrilled to work alongside a movement committed to taking action for a Swimmable, Drinkable, Fishable future for our #waters 💧
Very excited to announce our New Waterkeeper for Lake Ontario. So much work to do to continue growing voice for swimmable drinkable fishable water on this incredible fresh water ecosystem called Lake Ontario https://lnkd.in/gDG3A8cw Swim Drink Fish Canada
